Welcome to Studio City

Hollywood’s hometown with a relaxing atmosphere and luxury amenities

Studio City is an upscale but casual neighborhood that exists right over the hill in the San Fernando Valley. This neighborhood’s easy access to the urban centers of Los Angeles and position right at the entrance of the Valley areas make it extremely convenient. The location offers a calm atmosphere, the highest level of privacy on the hillside, and all of the city amenities Los Angeles has to offer. Being so close to the production studios, Studio City is as fitting for families as it is for professionals in the industry.

Local Lifestyle

Studio City has the rare benefit of being walkable in certain areas. Stretches of cafes and shops that line Ventura Boulevard are a haven to grab lunch, a stroll, and shop for a few things on weekends and after work. Nice grocery stores and neighborhood conveniences are easily found. Studio City feels like its own little town with the best of Los Angeles and a bit more peace than the urban areas. Studio City is historically an architectural capital. The hillside homes have innovative new builds as well as uniquely stunning Postmodern influences. While there are many single-family luxury homes, the area has a good selection of apartments as well.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

A good sushi place is a cornerstone of a Los Angeles neighborhood, and Studio City’s is Asenebo. While the city is absolutely teeming with sushi restaurants, Asenebo stands out in presentation, flavor, and style. Their omakase is a one-of-a-kind experience with a refinement above the average sushi place. For more Japanese in a more casual setting and with heartier dishes, there is Daichan. This unassuming, little hole-in-the-wall has heaping plates of Japanese fried chicken, noodles, and poke bowls.

Brunch is just as much of a staple as sushi. Aroma Cafe is the best place in the neighborhood for a cup of coffee and a treat or a long lunch with friends. Their long menu of fresh fare and full pastry case of delicious sweets can be enjoyed in their cute, cottage-style dining room or their sprawling patio with shady trees. For a quick latte on the go, Coffee Fix is a neighborhood favorite that has a small shop charm.

The shops lining Ventura Boulevard are not only a convenient place to grab something from beloved brands, like World Trade Market and Madewell, but also a nice walkable stretch that neighborhoods in Los Angeles rarely have. On top of well-known brands, there are many quaint, independent shops like Hide and Seek Vintage Home Boutique that always has new thrifted home goods finds.

Things to Do

Studio City’s location has a wealth of recreation to keep residents busy. The neighborhood is bordered by Coldwater Canyon Park and Wilacre Park, and they have two of the most popular hiking trails in the city. Fryman Canyon and Coldwater Canyon have stunning views of the city and natural landscape. They offer locals the opportunity to get out into nature and away from the city without actually having to leave.

The neighborhood’s name comes from its proximity to the production studios that exist in the area. Universal Studios Lot and Universal’s theme park are amazing places for family fun. The Universal City Walk has a collection of sought-after shops and restaurants, while the park is a beloved attraction for experiences like the Lot Tours and Harry Potter World.

Golf lovers and members of the creative community will love being near Lakeside, a private country club that hosts entertainment professionals. Their pool, golf course, and lounge rest on the edge of the scenic Toluca Lake.

Schools

Studio City is a short commute to highly rated schools and is served by the Los Angeles Unified School District.
